Get Involved

Get the most from your membership and give back to the profession by getting involved. Applications to join the Board of Directors are accepted year-round and are available here. Alternatively, there are many ways you can contribute as a non-board member.

Interact with Colleagues
  • Connect with other psychometrists in the United States and Canada by participating on the NAP Discussion Board.
  • Attend our annual NAP conference.  Conference details are available on the Conference webpage.
  • Be a NAP Ambassador for your own state or province.
    • Coordinate and advertise area networking events whereby psychometrists can connect, OR
    • Pass out NAP brochures at local conferences AND
    • Be a point person in your state allowing us to funnel various state specific questions about practice requirements, etc. to you.

Advocate for the Profession
  • Psychometrists Reaching Out & Education the Public (PREP): Volunteer to spread the word about Psychometry by presenting PREP in your local community.  For more information, contact Marketing via the Contact Us page.
Share Your Expertise
  • Write for the newsletter, NAPNews.  To submit an article for consideration, please email the Webmaster via the Contact Us page.
  • Post and/or tweet trending news related to the field on one of our social media pages.  Email the Marketing Committee Chair via the Contact Us page to get involved.
  • Present at the annual NAP conference.  Visit the Conference webpage for more information.
  • Collaborate on projects relating to testing diverse populations.  Contact the Cultural Diversity Committee Chair via the Contact Us page to learn how.
Recognize a Colleague
  • Nominate yourself or a worthy coworker/employee to be showcased in our Psychometrist Spotlight article in the newsletter, NAPNews.  Submit nominations via the Contact Us page to Other.  Include in your email the nominees name, email, your reason for nominating them, and whether or not you wish to remain anonymous.  Self-nominations are also welcome and highly encouraged.
  • NAP greatly values its members and wishes to congratulate them on major milestones and achievements within their career.  If you or someone you know is coming up on a significant work anniversary, retirement or other accomplishment let us know by emailing details to the Membership Committee Chair via the Contact Us page.  We appreciate any opportunity to recognize those within our field for their role in promoting psychometry.
